We had a very special concert this past Sunday evening . . . special for a few different reasons.
1) The concert was held at the Cando Church of the Brethren, Ron and Cathy’s home church and the place where Special Delivery was born 14 years ago. It was like having a concert right at home.
2) Pastor Bud arranged for half of the free-will offering from the concert to go towards the cost of my upcoming medical missions trip to Venezuela. What a blessing to have that support, not only in finances but also in prayer. The trip is March 3-14 and your prayers are much appreciated!
3) A dear friend suggested many months ago that we do a concert to help raise funds for Cathy to buy her “dream guitar” . . . a Martin. Cathy knew nothing about this little project so Pastor Bud announced that the other half of the free will offering would go towards Cathy’s Martin guitar fund. She was surprised to say the least. She’s spent countless hours ministering with her music at church, funerals, weddings, and other community events. The new Martin will hopefully ensure the continuation of her music ministry!
